As the world continues to modernise rapidly, the need for electricity is increasing at an exponential rate. Today, approximately 75% of the electricity supply in Southeast Asia (SEA) is produced by a non-renewable source: fossil fuel, and it is estimated that this resource will be depleted within the next 4 decades.
OceanPixel has collaborated with Seed4Com to produce a short film and eBook about an alternative, renewable solution to tackle the energy issues in SEA. In this film, it describes the current energy situations in SEA, and how the communities can tap onto this vast and consistent supply of energy from their very shores to sustain their ever-growing demand for electricity.
